Patrick Harshman Dr. Harshman joined Harmonic in 1993 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2006. In December 2005, he was appointed Executive Vice President responsible for the majority of the Company's operational functions, including the unified digital video and broadband optical networking divisions as well as global manufacturing. Prior to the consolidation of the Company’s product divisions, Dr. Harshman held the position of President of the Convergent Systems division and, for more than four years, was President of the Broadband Access Networks division. Prior to this, Dr. Harshman held key leadership positions in marketing, international sales, and research and development. Dr. Harshman earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and completed an Executive Management Program at Stanford University. Robin N. Dickson Robin N. Dickson joined Harmonic in April 1992 as Chief Financial Officer. From 1989 to March 1992, Mr. Dickson was Corporate Controller of Vitelic Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer. From 1976 to 1989, Mr. Dickson held various positions at Raychem Corporation, a materials science company, including Regional Financial Officer of the Asia-Pacific Division of the International Group. Mr. Dickson holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Matthew Aden Matthew Aden joined Harmonic in October 2007 as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Service. Mr. Aden was previously Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Customer Operations at Terayon Communications, a manufacturer of broadband systems, from July 2005 to July 2007. Prior to Terayon, Mr. Aden was at Motorola/General Instrument from 1984 until July 2005 and held a variety of positions in executive sales management. Mr. Aden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. Charles Bonasera Charles Bonasera joined Harmonic in October 2006 as Vice President, Operations. From 2005 to 2006, he was Senior Director-Global Sourcing at Solectron, a leading global provider of electronics manufacturing services and supply chain solutions. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Bonasera held various key positions in outsourcing strategies, commodity management, supply management and supply chain development at Sun Microsystems. Nimrod Ben-Natan Nimrod Ben-Natan joined Harmonic in 1997 and was appointed Vice President of Product Marketing, Solutions and Strategy in 2007. Mr. Ben-Natan initially joined us as a software engineer to design and develop our first-generation video transmission platform, and in 2000, transitioned to product marketing, solutions and strategy to develop the digital video cable segment. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Ben-Natan was employed at Orckit Communications Ltd., a digital subscriber line developer. Previously, Mr Ben-Natan worked on wireless communications systems while he was with the Israeli Defense Signal Corps. Mr. Ben-Natan holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University. Neven Haltmayer Neven Haltmayer joined Harmonic in December of 2002 and was appointed Vice President Research and Development in November 2005. Prior to November 2005, Mr. Haltmayer was Director of Engineering of Compression Systems and managed the development of Harmonic’s MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoder and DiviCom Electra product lines. Between May 2001 to 2002, Mr. Haltmayer held various key positions including Vice President of Engineering and was responsible for system integration and development of STB middleware and interactive applications while at Canal Plus Technologies. Mr. Haltmayer earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. David Price David Price is Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Communications at Harmonic Inc., where he is responsible for pioneering Harmonic’s leading position in digital video broadcast, distribution and IP-based delivery technologies. An experienced speaker, he has presented at many conferences throughout the world. He has over 24 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is currently Vice President of the MPEG Industry Forum. Mr. Price was selected in 2003 and 2004 as one of the "Euro 50" by Cable & Satellite Europe. Originally, an electronics engineer on the design team of the world’s first CAT scan system, he graduated from CIT with a Fellowship MBA and has an Honors Bachelors degree in Cybernetics, Instrument Physics and Mathematics. David Trescot As Vice President of the Rhozet Business Unit at Harmonic Inc., Mr. Trescot is responsible for product development, sales, and marketing of Rhozet’s universal media transcoding solutions. These solutions are used to rapidly convert video between all major formats for broadcast, Web and mobile applications, and are in use by companies such as CNN, BBC, ESPN, Yahoo!, MSN, and Amazon.com. Most recently CEO of Rhozet Inc., Mr. Trescot held several senior management positions including Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Avvenu, Inc., a Silicon Valley startup focused on mobile device technologies. Prior to Avvenu, he managed the Digital Video Group at Adobe and was responsible for the product direction and marketing for Adobe’s entire range of media applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore, and Audition. Mr. Trescot earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Glen Sakata Glen Sakata brings over 20 years of broadcast sales, marketing, and business development experience to Harmonic. He joined the Company from Cisco Systems, the global leader in IP infrastructure solutions, where he managed a development team in their Consumer Line of Business. Prior to that, Mr. Sakata held senior management positions with Faroudja Labs, Louth Automation, and Vinten Broadcast. During that time, he managed a variety of globally recognized technology innovations including sales and marketing of high definition video processors, advanced broadcast automation and robotic camera systems to broadcast, satellite, cable television and telecom operators, worldwide. Raymond Tse Raymond Tse was appointed Vice President of Asia Pacific (APAC) Sales in 2006. In this position, he is responsible for Harmonic’s sales and technical services in the region. Mr. Tse joined Harmonic in 2000 as Regional Sales Director in Hong Kong. In 2003, he was appointed Regional Director for the APAC region. He brings to Harmonic 20 years of sales and management experience in Asia Pacific markets. Mr. Tse has successfully identified and developed business opportunities, and led high-performing sales and support teams throughout his career. Prior to joining Harmonic, Mr. Tse held various sales and regional management positions with Simplex, Antec, General Instrument and Johnson Controls. Mr. Tse holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde and B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Hong Kong. |
