The flagship Electra® encoder line is used by operators around the world to deliver superior quality broadcast HD and SD video services. In the cable market, Harmonic’s NSG™ 9000 universal edgeQAM leads the industry in deployments for VOD delivery, modular CMTS, and powers the world’s largest cable IPTV service (SK Broadband, Korea). Harmonic has also recently introduced new products such as the SUPRALink™ 1550 nm DWDM transmission system to increase fiber reach in HFC networks, and the ProStream™ 4000 multi-screen transcoder, an ideal solution for mobile and Internet video delivery.

Harmonic’s 2009 acquisition of Scopus Video Networks strengthens the company’s position as a video delivery leader, by adding complementary products for the broadcast contribution/distribution markets, including the Ellipse™ family of low-delay encoders for newsgathering applications and ProView™ integrated receiver/decoders. The enhanced product line, augmenting Harmonic’s acquisitions of Rhozet, with its Carbon Coder™ transcoding software (2007), and Entone’s video-on-demand solution portfolio (2006), enables Harmonic to offer a more comprehensive, high-quality, end-to-end solution for our service provider customers.
